Sony Bloggie MHS TS10

The Sony Bloggie TS10 [touchscreen with 4GB storage capacity] is an excellent device for a variety of uses. It is a great choice for capturing photos and videos, with a Sony G-Lens and a 12.8MP image sensor. The videos come out with impressively clear clarity and excellent colors for its age, but the photos come out looking a bit washed and noisy by today's standards. Its to be expected though, as this device is well old. Don't get me wrong, with the right lighting, such as a nice bright day outdoors, the picture quality can be pretty good. However, I've done a few comparisons when it comes to image quality, and the Bloggie is not better than the 5 megapixel Panasonic TZ1 [reviewed here] when it comes to picture clarity. But beats it any day of the week when it comes to video.

It has HD 1080p video recording capability, and can take footage at up to 30 frames per second, making it perfect for capturing fast-moving action. Portrait and landscape recording is available, but portrait mode recording is very small and slim, nothing like the smartphones of today.

The battery life is also impressive, with the ability to record for up to 3 hours on a single charge. The Bloggie TS10 also has easy uploading and sharing capabilities by a full sized USB, making it easy to share your videos and photos with others. All-in-all, the Sony Bloggie TS10 is a great piece of older technology that's small and easy to carry around. I would recommend it for people who have no smartphone.

For those that do have a smartphone, most will prefer using that instead. Pricing varies, but typically the TS10 can be picked up online for between £5 and £60 depending on the sellers expectations and condition of the item. Got mine for a little over £5. There's also the Sony TS20, and that has 8GB of storage space.
