Anyone who owns the P900 is no doubt aware of the lack of options for charging the battery (USB cable), let alone an external one while the camera is in use. But the good news is, things have improved quite a lot over the last few years. As long as you do your research, chances are you will end up with an aftermarket replacement battery or charger that will leave you rather impressed.
That has been the case for me, and many other people. I've bought a few battery / charger bundles, one being from the brand VHBW (for a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ50), and they have been excellent. BM Premium, pictured here, are also known to produce some good quality batteries and chargers for the low price.
