Is this the oldest Graffiti in the UK? I know its not really a "Graffiti" piece in the sense that its just someone tagging initials, but that date underneath looks like 1898 to me. If that date is genuine, and I think it is, it's well over 100 years old. This stone is part of St John the Baptist Church in Berkswell (very old Church I believe). I wonder who HL was, and what type of life he or she lived.
