This isn't new news, but I was looking through some pictures. I came across a few from the Olympia MX Motocross Practice Track on Middle Bickenhill Lane, Hampton-in-arden and it made me wonder on whether this track is still in business. Turns out, like a lot of places that just happened to be situated on land that this project needed, it has been eaten up by HS2 and is now permanently closed.
From speaking to the owner of this track, I got the impression that he was a no nonsense guy who loved the place and would not sell-up willingly. But the HS2 goons use the power of the Government and its laws to be able to basically force people to give up their land. For low money too. It's absolutely terrible. The disruption HS2 has caused to people and wildlife should never have been allowed. There was some talk about HS2 being stopped / halted for the foreseeable future, but that does not seem to be the case. I've been past quite a few HS2 sites recently and its still full steam ahead by the looks of things. So yeah, another one bites the dust. I just hope the owner of the track got a decent price for it.

What is HS2, and is it really worth it.
