A very old traditional pub (Grade II listed building) dating as far back as the 16th Century. Although it is unknown as to exactly what date it became an Inn or Public House. Nice pub, but the cruel sign reminds us of a time when bears tied up in chains was looked at as nothing more than a funny spectacle. The world isn't like that now.. That was sarcasm. This type of cruelty, and much worse than this still goes on in many parts of the world.
